Respiron is formulated to support:
A combination of antioxidants herbs and natural oils to support the respiratory and immune
system of calves and weanling’s. An appetite stimulant is added to encourage feed intake.
Poor feed intake at weaned, at housing or after transport is a major cause of stress.
Pneumonia:
One of the biggest killers of weanling and dairy calves is without doubt respiratory infections
and more specifically, pneumonia. Like the common cold we suffer from, pneumonia infection
is common in the calves environment. For the most part the calf is able to deal with it using it’s
own natural defense mechanisms. When the calf becomes stressed its immunity is reduced. This
allows bugs to multiply and infections can occur.
Ideally feed:
• At weaning for 7 days
• At housing for 7 days
• At the first sign of respiratory problems for an initial period of 7 days. Continue if necessary
• After taking home from sales feed for 7 days
• 3 days prior to risk periods
Powder 2 kg
Feed 15 g per calf (half scoop)
Feed 30 g per weanling per 250-350 kg bodyweight per day (1 heaped scoop)
Do not feed other sources of minerals without veterinary or nutritional advice.
Note: Fresh drinking water should always be available.
Paste 60 ml
Respiron can be fed daily as a dietary respiratory support to calves.
Remove cap from nozzle. Turn ring to required setting which should be on the left of the ring. Insert nozzle into calf’s empty mouth.
Direct towards back of the tongue and depress plunger to deposit paste.
