Avi Vit Avilyte

Concentrated Electrolyte

AviLyte provides essential electrolytes for broilers and layers to support maximum performance in challenging conditions. Increasing DEB values of the by supplementation of Sodium and Potassium improves average daily weight gain of chickens.

Water is the most important nutrient for Poultry. Heat stress can increase water consumption by up to five times the normal level. Exposure to heat stress for long periods suppresses the immune system. Increased levels of corticosteroids in the blood reduce the activity and population of lymphocytes in the blood.

Electrolytes (sodium, chloride, potassium,) phosphate, citrate and dextrose can be used to aid recovery of electrolyte and acid/base imbalances. All the body systems are affected when Dietary Electrolyte Balance (DEB) is lost. Poultry stop eating and there are various behavioral responses such as squatting and wing spreading. Lost electrolyte balance results in the loss of potassium, sodium and bicarbonate in an increasing urine output.

Feeding Instructions

Where ambient temperature is in the range of 20 – 26˚C at a rate of 100ml per 50 litres of clean drinking water and feed for 3 – 5 days. Where environmental temperatures are higher adjust mixing rate to allow for increased water intake.
